One of the hardest parts of 2002 was the death of Art's dad, Arthur Peter Mandler, on February 21. We held a family memorial service in a rocky enclave up on the Blue Ridge Parkway. One of the highlights of 2002 was having Art's mom, Phyllis settle permanently in Asheville.
